I met an ENTP for the first time and it felt strangely familiar

There’s no real goal for this post. I just wanted to share my thoughts about him, and I honestly didn’t know who else to tell this to, so I felt this was the most suitable place.

I got curious about talking to someone with an ENTP personality type since I had never met anyone like that before. He was a strange person, not in a good or bad way, just something new. If I had to classify him, I’d create a whole new category for him.

The weird thing is that I feel like he resembles me, but he’s the side of myself that I always hide or run away from. I didn’t expect him to be this emotional. His emotions were alive and vibrant, which surprised me coming from someone so logical. I’m not saying logical people don’t have feelings, but they usually don’t show them. They keep them as a mysterious world they process inside, unless you’re someone very close to them. He, on the other hand, was openly expressing his emotions, and that was honestly attractive…

Anyway, I had to ghost him multiple times for his own good so he would leave me alone and focus on his studies. Still, I never found our conversations draining. Normally, when I talk to people and show them my real personality, I get extremely exhausted and need a long time to recover my energy. But with him it was different. He felt like me, so he didn’t drain me at all. I’m talking to him every day and still going on with my life normally. That was something completely new for me.
