Professional opinion requested on gate build.

Image shows exact areas in question.

I don't know anything about fence gates, that's why I am posting in this group because you guys are the professionals. Could you tell me if the board with the handle on it that's been tapered from larger to smaller is normal and is that something you would accept if someone built a gate for you? Second, none of the boards are even on the top. Is that normal? I paid for this, Is it acceptable, or should I ask them to come back and fix anything?

Methods to hide view of actual light bulb

A lot of our lights are pot lights, however some are in places pot lights will not work… The dilemma is from the right angles you can see the light (lightbulb) in the fixture emitting the light. We do not want that, what are some ways I can prevent that light being seen. Creative ideas welcome.

We don’t want any of the actual lights emitting the light to be seen, just the light they are producing.

🙏 thanks

I gave my friend son a chance to rebuild an old gate. He is almost 30.

I asked him after I saw it the next day if there were any parts that he felt uncomfortable with or would consider redoing, and he said The piece of wood that he cut for the handle might look funny, but it’s just cosmetic.

I’m going to ask him to come and redo the entire thing, but I wanted to share this photo.
