1943 d is close to the 4

Has anyone seen one like this where the d is extremely close to the 4? Also, is this a repunched mint mark?

1986 raised on the left and liberty is strange looking.
It has a line going through "liberty" and sloped up to the left. Its not bent and the other side s3ems normal.

Large herbivore tooth?
I found this on the side of plum creek in castle rock, Colorado. South of denver. Im not sure if its fossilized or just heavy and hard amd preserved well. My guess is some kind of ice aged large herbivore.
