Rory was a wee bit hypocritical about not wanting a party in her dorm at Yale.

Paris actually asked her. Lorelai didn't bother asking when she invited everyone into the dorm for food on their first night at Yale. They didn't bother asking Tana either who was clearly awkward around people and might have been uncomfortable with being abruptly ambushed by so many.

Rory needed her mommy to cope with being away. What if the other girls had anxiety too and just needed to be alone?

And then when Paris actually considers her and asks her to have a party in the dorm she says 'I might be tired that night. I don't know how ill feel.' Well don't you think people who spent the entire day moving boxes into their new home might also be tired?

It just bugged me so much.

I love Lorelai and Rory but they would be annoying in real life.

Now don't get me wrong, I love Lorelai and Rory. They're fun and dynamic characters to watch, and the show wouldn't be the cozy warm vibe it is without their big personalities.

But if I was at a town meeting on a Thursday night and needed to get home, I wouldn't appreciate the duo coming in late all the time and being disruptive. Taylor was annoying but he was right about that. It's not fair to the others. Lorelai throwing fries at Taylor? Entertaining, sure, but adults with lives who want to be involved in the town and fulfill their personal responsibilities probably wouldn't appreciate food fights delaying the ending of the meetings.

Lorelai also talked during movies and Kirk was right when he said that she was disturbing everyone in the theater. That's also valid. All those paying customers had a right to a proper, silent experience.

Then there's everything at Luke's. Throwing pancakes? Taking up a bunch of tables when it's busy. Trying to get tables from other people who are already sitting? Demanding Luke's attention when customers need to be served? I'd be unbelievably irritated.

This isn't a hate post. But just realistically speaking, I think most people in Stars Hollow would have probably found Lorelai at least (maybe not Rory) to be way too big of a personality. Aside from the main cast members that she's friends with, I just don't see how her behaviour wouldn't get old and frustrating. I LOVE lorelai but I love her because I watch her on a screen and her antics aren't getting in the way of my day. I might feel different if they were.

Random couples I think would make sense.

This is just my opinion so don't come at me. OPINIONS ARE ALLOWED. I'M ALSO THE PERSON WHO MADE THE DADDY TAYLOR POST SO I THINK THIS SUB HAS DEDUCED THAT I'M A LITTLE UNHINGED. Although I think all of these make sense.

First, starting off strong. Anna Nardini and Christopher Hayden. Anna didn't want her kid to have a dad. Christopher didn't want to be a dad. They both suck. Match made in heaven.

Next. Finn from Yale and Madeleine from Chilton. Both rich party kids, but with softer, gentler sides. Louise was a bully like Paris. Collin was a jerk and an elitist. Their friends were however the better counterparts (not that Finn wasn't an elitist but he was less of an ass than Colin). And I'd think they'd make a cute little party couple.

Jess and Other Daughter from the Springsteens (yk the Harvard alumni family with the weird incestuous kids?) because they were both lone rangers, living life differently. They both foraged their own paths regardless of everyone's opinion and I'd like to think that bunny girl ended up a success like Jess. I think they would have pushed each other too and been a power couple.

Jason and Rachel. Jason was well-traveled and seemed to enjoy it. Rachel too. She had a habit of leaving without notice. Jason couldn't share a bed with anyone. I think it would have worked out pretty well.

Lane and Jamie. They both deserved better from their partners. Lane from Zach ruining their chance with a LABEL and then proposing instead of apologizing and Jamie for getting out rizzed by a wrinkly old bum. Lane deserved that warm family holiday experience way more than Paris.

Dean and Tana. I don't have an explanation for this aside from the fact that I don't like either of them. They annoy me. And annoying people should be together so the rest of us don't have to put up with them. But 16 year old devoted to his girlfriend Dean and Tana. Not college Dean who was a cheater. Tana is annoying but she doesn't deserve infidelity.

And honorable mention?

Lindsay and Logan. They'd be hot as hell, and Logan's family would definitely approve of a homemaker and he'd still make time to party with her and keep her entertained but also work and live his life.
