Still a lot to go, but I recently passed 75% completion on Japan's rail network! I've ridden 104 of the 191 different railway operators throughout the country (of which I've 100%ed 59 of them) and am between 70-95% in terms of track completion for each of the JRs. Overall, I've ridden 60k km on the Japanese network, or 1.5x the circumference of the Earth. Hoping to finish Shikoku next!

This count excludes regional subsidiaries and brands (e.g. Envoy Air and American Eagle are counted under American Airlines), but includes eight legally distinct operators that share a brand, such as Ryanair and Ryanair UK and Jetstar and Jetstar Japan.
