The AVP takes ProTools to the next level
Any musicians here? The other day I was laying down a bass part at home, working off a laptop with Pro Tools. If you’ve ever used a DAW, you know how visually busy it gets.
I was squinting at the edit window and thought I would throw it up on the TV screen. It worked, but it felt oversized and not very usable.
Then I noticed my Apple Vision Pro sitting there and decided to try it.
Using Mac Connect took a couple minutes. Suddenly I had the entire session in front of me exactly how I wanted it. Edit window stretched wide, about twenty tracks in the mix window, plugins open, transport visible, all sitting in a clean, controlled space.
The experience completely shifted.
I added my AirPods Max and the distractions disappeared. I know that doesn’t work with everyone’s headshape or setup, but for me I just locked in. No clutter, no noise, just a focused environment I could stay in for hours.
Working in the entertainment business, ironically it can be hard to find the time and focus to get back to the creative side. But I was a musician first, and I really need to take time to play, write, track, or just experiment.
The AVP lets me think about that creative space differently. Less about the physical setup in the studio, more about controlling the environment around you.
