Here's a power storage facility I made back in the days on vanilla 1.0, near the end of my first complete playthrough.

Inside the facility you'll find 7 floors full of power storage units. 2408 of them, for a total storage of 240 800 MWh. At that point my base has a max consumption of 107 000 MW so this gives me a few hours to fix any power plant failure without having to turn anything off.
