Second year as an occasional teacher and seen some full time LTOs I would be interested in applying for. Would it be possible to somehow get a position without having any principal references? I had no idea that is something you had to do while supplying

I've been an OT with the TDSB since september, and saw a form to apply to go from OT list to the ETH list in the recent TDSBnow email. When I was first hired I only got on the OT list and not eth for some reason.
This form is asking for references for 3 principals. One principal responded back saying they would need to observe me teaching in order to provide a reference bc they need to speak on 12 competencies etc. I have only supplied this year at different schools (some more than others) but haven't built strong enough relationships with principals as im not anywhere often.
would it be sufficient to provide 1 or 2 references even though they are asking for minimum 3?
Also if anyone has been in a similar position, going from OT list to applying to ETH list please let me know your experience
this was my first year as a supply so i am wondering how the renewal process works for tdsb? there is a form on SFE but it is for 2025. and what steps would i have to take to renew to ensure i am on the OT list for next school year?
