Family didn’t confirm for 24 hours
I had a family ask me Thursday night if I was available for Saturday afternoon. I answered Friday morning (I was asleep), that I was only available for half the time. I don’t hear back from the family at all on Friday so I assume they found someone else.
Nope! Wake up to a text from them this morning saying “great; see you then” (5 hours before the job starts).
Incredibly rude and such a lack of respect for my time. No apology or acknowledgement of the lack of response. If I didn’t need the $, I would absolutely say “oh; I’m sorry. Since I didn’t hear from you, I assumed you had found someone else”. Grrrr.
