We recently read the 1993 short novel worfs adventure about him adapting to life at Starfleet academy and my kid absolutely loved it. I'm curious if anyone has any other recommendations along that line. I'm okay with tos or TNG characters looking to maybe read about all the major characters before starting the shows. Also want to avoid everything 2009 or later. Thanks!

I feel like the internet is full of just...sob stories of people struggling. I am 38, married, two kids, have a mortgage, investments are doing okay, and idk, we're doing just fine. I feel middle class. Is anyone else doing just fine? Or am I alone?
