Hi all, I am trying to alter a pair of shorts but i’m not sure why it wont stitch through. 10 minutes before I wanted to alter the shorts, I had already altered a pair of pajama pants and it worked perfectly fine. I tested out to see if I had set up my machine wrong by switching out the shorts with the pants I just did earlier and it actually made stitches on the pants and I switch back to the shorts and it’s not atitching again. The shorts are a bit thinner than the pants not too crazy and its also stretchy while the pants i did were a little bit more thicker. Can anyone help?

Im currently trying to become fit after an accident that caused me to gain over 20 pounds. Before, i didnt have any stomach fat and my face was more slimmer. I now have a double chin, big arms, and a stomach that hangs over all of my pants. I wanna get rid of the fat i gained but also try to grow my glutes at the same time. Im new to all of this so i dont know where to begin. Can I grow my glutes with weights while also doing high intensity cardio to burn off all the fat? And if yes, should i take protein or creatine. I also dont know if i should be eating more or less. For reference, i am 5’3 and 117lbs. Please leave any tips or suggestions.
