Air conditioning issue, maybe? Or just bad programming?
I live in a hot climate. It doesn't happen every time, but maybe 1 out of 4 times I turn on the truck with the AC in AUTO, the system only sends air out through the window vents. I can disable AUTO, direct the manual AC to blow out of the face and feet vents, but it doesn't change anything with the air system. The air continues to blow from the window vents only. It's so frustrating on a hot day when I didn't think ahead to have the app start climate control ahead of time.
Any one experienced this? The only fix I could find was to turn off the eco-climate control function, which I did. The behavior above persists.
Appreciate any help. (I am trying to avoid taking it to the dealership service dept, they said they'd need it a few days to diagnose and fix - didn't want to do that yet until I exhausted all my resources first in case there is a simpler fix)
