White Ranger Cosplay

I went to Fanx in Utah as the White Ranger a few years back but I wanted to try again with some updates. The funny thing is finding good reference photos is hard! And I'm left to use a generic unitard because I can't be confident what whatever I buy will match closely to the show (which seems to be more loose and shiny).

Of course, the best looking one is the OG GSD footage and I tried to match more closely to that.

My goal with any cosplay is to go cheap without compromising accuracy.

Saba was carved using scrap wood I had lying around plus some paper and a little foam for the emblem. That was another hard part. I used the show, a toy, and a 3D file as a reference. I think it's passable though it doesn't do anything fancy like articulate the mouth.

I'm bad at taking pictures along the way.

Dumb and Ignorant vs. Dumb and Aware

If we were looking at a four quadrant graph with two axis: intelligence and awareness, I feel like CDS is we are dumb and we are painfully aware. But then sometimes, we are smart and aware.

There are people who are dumb and unaware. Smart and unaware. Smart and aware. We can think of examples of each one. But, I do not fit these.

I feel like I have more potential, but there's something blocking me. Like an invisible wall. And sometimes that wall comes down (meds, random lucidity, etc.) and I'm functioning like I know is possible.

And then the wall goes back up and it's back to being stupid. Honestly, Limitless is such a relatable movie for this feeling.
