Yunomi.life Reccomendstions

I've ordered samplers from Yunomi.life a couple times now, looking to put a big boy order in. I've got my eyes on some senchas I really enjoyed from the samplers, and some other teas from the same farms/collectives. Wondering if folks have any must-tries you've found from them?

I'm really an equal opportunity Japanese tea enjoyer, just looking for bang for buck!

Sheng Pu'er Recommendations

I've been trying alllllllll kinds of teas over the last few months. I've really enjoyed just about every Sheng and Shou I've tried, but I just had this 2012 Fengquin Ancient Tree Chun Jian and it feels like it opened my horizons. It doesn't taste like Scotch, but it has all the things that I love about scotch going for it. Deep complexity, tobacco notes, earthy sweet tones, incredibly pleasing astringency. It's wildly delicious to me.

Any suggestions for shengs that have the same kind of qualities this one does? Or ones that are completely different but have the kind of evolving complexity this one did?

Thank you!

Thrift Store Finds

Found at a thrift store in New England. I have doubts on authenticity based on the prices ($25 for the big one, $75 for the smaller one), but to my incredibly amateur eye the smaller one at least *looks* promising. Any input or information would be appreciated!

Safe to use?

Marketed as a Yixing Purple Clay tea cup. Not too concerned with it being authentic, but seen some posts about it potentially being harmful. Any ideas? Thank you!

High quality tea recommendation

So I fell down the loose leaf rabbit hole a few months ago and it's been an incredible experience so far. I've stuck almost entirely to samples to this point, just getting as much range as I can with the help of the curated vendor list. I've found teas I really enjoy in every category, which is super exciting and a little daunting. However I think Taiwanese oolongs have, across the board, been my personal preference. The best of those for me has been the Li Shan High Mountain Oolong from Eco-Cha. This already feels like a very high quality tea to me, and if I've already found the peak then I'd be happy.

That being said, looking for any recommendations for any other teas that I should experience in this realm!

Portland OR Tea Tasting

Just starting off my tea journey recently, been ordering samples from the curated vendor list and trying to figure out where my wife and I's tea interest lies. So far it's everything, which is great!

What I would really like is to do a Tea Tasting though, unfortunately there don't seem to be any good options close to me. Fortunately we are heading to Portland OR for a wedding in July and I see quite a few places on the Vendor Map, my question is are there any specific recommendations in the greater Portland area for a one on one or small group guided tasting?
