I’m starting to explore working with a freelance video editor for recurring YouTube and social video projects.

The content is generally in the niche documentary / hobby / educational / industry-media space.

It is not high-energy influencer content.

The style I’m aiming for is clean, polished, visually driven, and story-focused — good pacing, strong use of B-roll, clear audio, simple graphics, and the ability to turn existing footage into publishable videos.

Projects may include:

• 5–10 minute YouTube videos
• Short-form social clips
• Talking head with b-roll (provided) or stock footage (provided)
• Interview or commentary-driven edits
• Occasional more polished feature-style pieces

Roughly 5-10 videos a month across the formats listed above.

Assets provided, no need to source stock or music.

I'm comfortable handling final polish and revisions after the initial edit.

I'm familiar with Descript, Premiere, and Resolve, and I'm open to different workflows as long as file handoff and collaboration remain straightforward.

Communication should be via email, with the occasional Zoom call if needed. I'm not looking for agency platforms or complicated communication systems. Looking to work directly with a freelancer. For U.S.-based contractors, payment would be via ACH or PayPal and a 1099 issued if required. Not interested in agency arrangements, outsourcing firms, or platform-based staffing services.

Message to me should actually tell me something about how you can solve my need. Not just a 'hi' or a portfolio link. Thanks.
