One says: Nyna deserved so much better. She got constantly pressured to do things for the sake of others, yet always had to deny her own wishes and additionally the curse of Artemis constantly screwed her over. There was absolutely NO need for her to marry to be allowed to rule over Archanea, SHE was the actually important royal here, there is no reason why the sexist traditions from Artemis’ time had to persist until Nyna’s times. And then she fully blames herself for Hardin going crazy, when she had been just as much denied her own love and stuck in a loveless marriage except she didn’t go batshit evil over it.

The other says: Hardin > Camus

As Hamlet says, to groom or to be groomed, that is the question.

I've often seen cool tier lists where people would rank the class trial performances of different characters with all of the Chapter 1 victims and occasionally the Chapter 1 culprits at the bottom due to not being able to legitimately rank them.

So just for fun, how do you think these characters would realistically perform during a class trial if they were neither the victim nor the culprit?

 

To give my two cents as well:

Sayaka Maizono: Not quite as strong as Makoto, Kyoko or Byakuya, but I could see her having a similar performance akin to Sonia where she will be a consistently good performer and make the occasional breakthrough. Might not be the best at finding clues during an investigation, but is socially a force to be reckoned with and with her fantastic intuition would be good at finding culprits due to changes in their behavior. I can see her intuition work against her at times however like in Chapter 5 for example if she were to become too suspicious of Kyoko due to her shifty behavior and being so closed off and misinterpret it.

Mukuro Ikusaba: It depends a bit on whether she is still the traitor/mastermind in this scenario or not, but overall, I think she'd be average. I think she'd be excellent at things like finding the cause of death and determining the murder weapon due to her experience, but would struggle otherwise. In her persona as Junko I can see her making some contributions in the class trial, but as Mukuro I feel she'd rarely contribute. She's definitely not deadweight, but I also can't see her being a top-contributor.

Leon Kuwata: He'd perform similar to Kazuichi, I think. Overall stays on topic during investigations and class trials unlike Yasuhiro for example and always tries to think along and contribute, but is definitely out of his depth. Probably even a bit worse than Kazuichi because Kazuichi actually has a consistently useful talent compared to Leon, whose talent would require a specific set-up during a murder to be possibly useful.

Twogami/Imposter: Definitely one of the stronger performers in his class. We see during his inspection scenes during the party that the Imposter has a fantastic eye for details and thus makes for a good investigator, and in general possesses a keen intellect suited for the class trials. His leadership skills would also come in handy to keep the class in check. But my gut feeling tells me he wouldn't be quite as good as Byakuya himself, though still a Top 5 contributor.

Teruteru Hanamura: A mixed bag honestly. On the one hand side, while Nagito prepared most of the Chapter 1 murder, Teruteru too has some surprisingly crafty ideas like using the stove as a light source and hiding the skewer inside the iconic MEAT ON THE BONE, on the other hand side, he would probably be one of the characters most likely to derail the class trial with his hornyness. Might make a good observation or two and would generally be able to follow the class trial, but I just know he would also "grace" us with some of the most cringeworthy moments known to men.

Rantaro Amami: As the Ultimate Survivor, Rantaro is implied to have already experienced a whole Danganronpa Season and emerged victorious, so it's very likely that he is a good investigator and also great at class trials (unless he used to be a culprit and this is how he became the Ultimate Survivor). Popular fanon is that he used to be the protagonist of the 52nd season, so he'd be on par with the likes of Makoto, Hajime and others. We also see in the game that Rantaro is excellent at reading people and their intentions and good at keeping a cool head during tense moments.

Kaede Akamatsu: Technically we do see how she performs during an investigation and class trial, and we see that she is quite good at both. Kaede is especially good at leading the class during the class trials and there is a reason why Mass Panic Debate is on easy mode while we play as her. Her main weakness is her stubbornness in my opinion. During the class trial Angie, Korekiyo and Ryoma propose interesting theories on how the mastermind could have escaped, Ryoma despite his depression and lethargy even willing to enter a Rebuttal Showdown to prove his point, only for Kaede to dismiss these options because she is so focused on what she believes to be the truth.
