Acedesk Stella Blizzard Pro - anyone using faster then first two modes?

So have had my board for a couple of weeks, started using for my commute from Fort Lee NJ to Bryant Park area, and getting the hang of it day by day.

I started using the second power level and it goes to about 21mph. For me that feels about max I'm comfortable, and honestly I feel better under 18. Anyone actually going faster than that and what is your foot stance / changes made to the board if any?

Also I still need to find better safety gear / suit as I find the bike helmet is def not enough.

Any warm weather + decent protective pants and/or jacket you might recommend?

Creating a Cicerone exam oriented free learning site

Howdy folks,

I am working on a new project, with the hope of creating a useful (and free) online learning platform focused on the Certified Beer Server, Certified Cicerone, Advanced Cicerone exams.

It's early days but I'd love to get some feedback and user activity going to speed up improvements.

It's purely based on publicly available information, but with the goal of making it organized, easy to read, and study goal focused. So for example if you are sifting through the BJCP beer styles but only studying for the CBS exam, you should only have to see what you need.

All content is sourced from the official Cicerone exam syllabus PDFs, BJCP beer guidelines, draft beer quality manual and will look to add more in the future.

It's Slack auth integrated for anyone that wants to store and track their learning progress, but that is purely optional.

I'd love to hear first impressions, any areas of improvement, and of course if you see fit, chat about it in the Slack group.

Thx in advance for your time if you take a peek.

Windows lifelong user considering MAC laptop (maybe)

So as title says, I am very familiar and comfortable in the Microsoft Windows world. Work and personal, is my area of focus for work and just in general.

Lately more interested in modern development, explored OpenClaw on Ubuntu terminal, really diving into AI vibe coding in codex, claude code, etc.

Just wondering if I can pull of a switch to a MAC for personal laptop, am worried about stumbling in keyboard shortcut / layout purgatory, etc.

Any tips or experiences folks can share? I guess also could I run a Windows 11 VM inside of it and if anyone does that to have both worlds is it a PITA or works?

Also wondering if NEO is too cheap and weak or good if mostly cloud running things, or if I should explore the AIR or maybe PRO?

Thx in advance / sorry if million people post the same thing. :-)

Got my first eboard, test ride done, looking forward to getting better

So after some research aligned to my goals (commuter board in nyc area) i ended up with the Acedeck Stella Blizzard Pro and just got it in the mail via fedex yesterday.

Took it for a solid test ride today to get familiar with it and start evaluating battery range. Did a solid hour, got about 10.5 miles and what looks to be about 70% battery left.

Gotta retrain myself how to ride a board, has been years since skateboarding when younger. Had a Boosted Rev scooter few years back and did a lot of miles commuting on that.

Kept to the lowest of 4 speed settings, the one capped at 12mph for now. I'll try the others once I earn the right (build some skills, buy some more safety gear).

My first thoughts are...

  • board is built very solid, quality for sure.
  • i still have to find my foot stance. almost flew back a few times hehe
  • turning at intersections is awkward for me, have to practice using the tail more to pivot.
  • i like the remote so far, although i have nothing to compare it to.
  • those 105 wheels, wow they are monsters. when i opened the box was impressed at the build of this thing.

again, total newb here in eboarding but wanted to log it here as I didn't see that much content about this board so figured will be good to share and see if others have it and gain insights.
