Custom budget periods / custom month start date
I would really like the option to define a custom start day for the monthly budget period instead of always using calendar months.
For example, I am paid on the 20th of every month, so my natural budgeting cycle is:
20 August → 19 September
20 September → 19 October
rather than:
1 August → 31 August
The important part is that this should not simply be a payday setting. The entire budget period should follow the selected start date, including:
- Ready to Budget
- category activity
- available balances
- rollover
- goals/targets
- reports and monthly totals
Ideally, there could be a setting such as:
Budget month starts on: [20]
This would make ZeroSum much more flexible for people who are paid on dates other than the 1st and who prefer their budget cycle to follow their actual income cycle.
For me personally, this is probably the main feature missing from ZeroSum at the moment.
