Water and singing
I've realized recently that I drink like hardly any water which didn't bother me until I realized that it could actually be affecting my singing. Sometimes my voice is very gravely and like croaky in a way and my singing teacher said it could be due to dehydration.
For context, I mainly drink caffeinated drinks like diet coke, iced latte or matcha which I'll maybe have 2 a day and apparently caffeine can just dehydrate your voice further.
Anyway as a singer how much water do you think I should be drinking to rehydrate my voice. My teacher said I might even need 3 litres a day to begin with which to me seems a bit excessive.
But I thought overall it's quite an interesting topic, apparently there was a study with a singer where she was to dehydrate and apparently she found it a lot harder to sing and reach high notes.
