Episode 158 surprised me yet again because it did not follow the typical ITV trope of making one character a doormat and other the high mighty flawless being!

Mahid lashing out at Seher is very apt! Kyun peecha kr rhi ho Seher Mahid ka??? Hain kyun bibi ji? 😒Arey bhai log vo doctor hai and sher miyan, I mean Mahid Miyan uppar se fataaak gire the, jaanch toh banti hai, toh off you go to the pathar Mr. Niyazi! Kaiz being the cutie, baith jayie na! 🤣🤣🤣
Ilaaj shuru, and allah miyan yeh kya???? Betuboi ko jawline pe zakham 😱😱😱 noooo! Not this, the flawless, can cut glass sharp jawline! Doctor Sahiba, jaldi theek kro! 🥺🥺🥺 she gets to work and Mahid does not like it! Cleans the wound and pulls out a sliver of wood and then proceeds to ask him some questions! Mahid is angry, oh he is absolutely livid and I love it! The man is drowning in guilt and cannot possibly sleep at night because Seher’s accusations ring in his ears and have kept him anxious for 7 long years! “Nahi dekhna aapki aankhon mein humein!” Seher accused him, declared him a murderer and sazza mein judayi aur kabhi raahein na milne ka faisla suna k chali gyi! And he was left to deal with what feels like a mammoth of guilt! And now, “koi farz nahi! Na koi farz hai na koi zimmedari, kuch nahi bacha hai humare beech!” I felt my heart drop a beat at his, “hum mar bhi jaye na toh humare janaze k kareeb mat aaiega aap!” He tells her how it is, did everything to save her and her ammi but still jo bhi galat hua uske peeche Mahid hi nazar aaea Seher ko! You see, Mahid knows he did his best, deep down he even knows that he should not be guilty but Seher ki Awaaz jo ussey gunehgaar kehti hai uska kya kre vo! So his anger is apt!

Seher on the other hand has grown up and moved on from everything but her Ammi and Mahid! She still feels it is Mahid who is responsible for everything that went wrong and that he broke his promise! I do feel she is being unreasonable here, par uss se zada I think she too has not processed the grief and loss she has incurred, mehnat aur responsibilities ka band aid 🩹 lgaya and chal padi duniya jeetne! Andar k zakham toh bhare hi nahi! Seher at this point is hurting Mahid and herself equally! Khair, Mahid asks her to leave and not try to help him or do anything for him! That JAAYIE! I felt it in my bones! 🥶
Seher leaves but of course she has a new musibat to face! No network and a horseman being a creep! Amaal keeps Seher out of the gloom on most days and here in the beautiful lavender fields Seher lets go off her worries and channelises her old charm and yells “ZINDAGI KHOOBSURAT HAI!” Just like she had once done in a sunflower field with a man who vowed to stand by her in every imtehaan! Khair 🥀

Mahid is entertaining Kaiz’s idea of a day out and taking him up the hill to spend some time with the little one. But those words and that voice! It stops him and he turns…a fatal move for his poor heart!
There she is! SEHER… in all her glory, a bright sunflower in the sea of calm lavender! Seher, the only girl he had ever loved. Seher, his sukoon… Seher, Mahid Niyazi ki begum jo “chiraag ki bheeni bheeni roshni ki tarah jhilmil” krti hai! Seher! The girl who accused him of murder…Seher! Kaiz runs around trying to get some help and Seher finds him. She goes into her doctor mode and tells Amaal to get the driver while she goes into search of her patient! Sach mein courier vali hi ban gyi Seher, sara time Patient pick and deliver hi krti rehti hai!
She goes down to the valley after seeing a man has fallen. P mast paer pe paer rakh k gira hua tha vahan! 🤣🤣🤣

At this point we all knew what was going to happen but tell me if your heart didn’t beat extra fast because Seher was getting closer to Mahid! Ufff! Aisa dhak dhak ho rha tha na!

Her eyes get wet and red rimmed just like Mahid’s were! Mahid wakes up and sees her! Both of them hold that gaze after 7 long years and you can feel the universe nod and click and change for them then and there itself! Mahid gets off the tree hurriedly and Kaiz hugs him in relief! “Dimah…” Seher is frozen, Mahid is bleeding (though I didn’t see any blood on him but I’m trusting the kid here!) and Kaiz is just worried about his Dimah!

Mahid wants to get out of there and he makes a beeline from there, picking Kaiz up! Seher stands there trying to get a hold of herself! Mahid, isn’t just any man but the man who changed the course of her life! Bhavika does a wonderful job here! Her face is a mix of shock, anger and maybe a little guilt, I see just a hint of it! Then she comes out of it and is about to go her way but ek toh yeh compassionate heart upar se ab toh bibi ji doctor bhi hai! Uff the dilemma!

Mahid, daddy long legs is taking advantage of his long strides and is now dragging Kaiz with him. Kaiz insists on letting the “doctor didi “ help him as he is bleeding! Mahid yells at him and Kaiz pulls the ultimate kid blackmail move! He starts crying and apparently Kaiz crying is Mahid’s kryptonite! He stops dead in his tracks and gets on his knees to tend to the child! Seher all this while is chasing him! Haye! 🫠

The upcoming promo looks amazing! We will finally see the dariya mein bhiga hua Maher with the horse! BTS dekh dekh kr thakk gyi hun main! 😋😋😋
