Only one loveable FMC
I do not understand why readers, particularly Maas readers, can't like more than one FMC at a time. I've just muted the Throne of Glass sub after seeing yet another post calling Feyre insufferable to hype up Aelin. Is the internalised misogyny really that bad that they can't like more than one FMC at a time?
Love Feyre but then love Nesta after Silver Flames? Obviously have to hate Feyre now.
Love Aelin but then meet Manon? Aelin sucks.
Read ACOTAR before Throne of Glass? Aelin is awesome, Feyre is insufferable.
Love Elain? Gwyn is evil.
Love Gwyn? Elain is pointless.
I can't take anymore posts taking an fmc from different series to rank their powers and who would win in a fight.
I've never understood having to choose between the sisters in acotar, but how is anyone reading Throne of Glass >!(with one of its main themes being the impact of small acts of kindness)!< and then tearing down other women.
SJMs FMCs are honestly some of my favourites I've ever read about, and I'm just so tired of conversations about loving one turning into hatred for another.
My tbr is getting out of control, every time I see someone call and fmc 'insufferable', I add the book to my list 😂
