Leaving NYC - where to sell furniture?
Hello! I'm leaving NYC and have some furniture and things in my apartment to sell or give away.
I do want to say a big thank you to everyone in this sub. It has been so helpful to me throughout my time here so thank you to everyone who posts and offers advice - I would not have survived without it!
Now on to the furniture. It is all in great condition. I've heard of people using Facebook marketplace but I don't have an FB account. I was wondering if there are any other ways people recommend selling things they no longer need? Craiglists seems really sketchy. I was looking at AptDeco and my local Nextdoor group. I wonder if I just post it if people will come and take it?
I have a really good sofa, rug, coffee table, lamp and some other things too like basic kitchen appliances and plates/cutlery. The kitchen stuff I was going to donate (I think Housing Works would take it). I have a great mattress but have heard it's impossible to sell those, but it is in amazing condition.
I am so sad about leaving. I've been here 3 years and I've been mourning the move for a long time but life goals changed and I had to make some tough but necessary decisions. Anyways, I'd appreciate any advice!
