Trans Masc suffering with HS
I’m a trans masc (32) individual who has been on topical gel testosterone for 6 months now.
Pre T I had very mild acne flare ups on my chest/back, more so when I was a teen but occasionally would break out in my adulthood, primarily around menstrual cycle. I have also had HS flare ups quite frequently in my groin area most of my Pre T life as well.
Since starting T I still have the occasional groin HS flare, I shower daily now, and I use My Magic Healer on my flare ups which sometimes help sometimes doesn’t, but overall they’ve been less painful and more so just annoying.
The issue that I’m having and coming to Reddit for is that my chest acne has gotten really bad on T, especially around my menstrual cycle is when it appears to flare up more. I unfortunately have discovered this past week my first ever HS flare on my underboob :( as of right now it’s not super painful and I’ve been putting my magic healer on it, but living so long with painful groin HS has me absolutely depressed finding this underboob flare up. It’s super dysphoric too unfortunately.
I haven’t seen any specific posts in this thread or FTM threads about trans mascs dealing with HS specifically and was hoping to find some personal anecdotes on what others have done to help their HS vs their T acne.
