Im on a path Im very proud of.

I graduated highschool last year, and I did well, but I didnt feel like college was right for me. I started working as an operator at a factory near me, and after busting my ass for 6 months, I applied to an apprenticeship program with their maintenance team and was accepted.

They have been paying for my certifications, my classes, and have continued to talk about more upward mobility. I might be able to buy a house before Im 25, and Im really grateful for the opportunity. Ive been giddy the past few months because good just keeps happening

Strange light over West Lake

I was recently backpacking the French Louie loop, and stayed the night in the lean-to at west lake.

When I went to sleep it was pitch black out. I woke up around 3:30am and saw an orange light glowing out on the horizon. I watched it for a few minutes, and it dimmed to black over the course of about 20 seconds.

It turned off far too slowly to be a Headlamp, and too quickly for a fire being put out. There are no towns in that direction for dozens of miles, or even much infrastructure at all.

Just wondering if anyone knows what it could be?

Edit: I'm a fool 🌙
