There should be a new version of Battle of the Network Stars where TV and film stars compete to earn the Most Well-Rounded Actor/Actress award.

Competition should be done every year for charity. Actors/actresses must be at least 45 years old, and have to compete in a decathlon of desirable acting skills, with total points wins. I'm thinking:

- Running

- Driving

- Fighting (street)

- Fighting (sanctioned boxing/martial arts)

- Target shooting (pistol/assault rifle/sniper))

- Helicopter piloting

- Dancing

- Singing

- Solo performance (dramatic)

- Solo performance (comedic)

From Wikipedia: "Around this time, producer Dino De Laurentiis, the owner of production and distribution company De Laurentiis Entertainment Group (DEG), asked Raimi if he would be interested in directing an adaptation of the Stephen King novel Thinner. Raimi turned down the offer, but De Laurentiis remained in touch with the young filmmaker.

"The Thinner adaptation was part of a deal between De Laurentiis and King to produce several adaptations of King's successful horror novels and short stories. At the time, King was directing the first such adaptation, Maximum Overdrive (1986), based on his short story "Trucks". He had dinner with a crew member who had been among those interviewed by Raimi and his colleagues about Evil Dead II, and told King that the film was having trouble attracting funding. Upon hearing this, King, who had written a glowing review of the first film that helped it become an audience favorite at Cannes, called De Laurentiis and asked him to fund the film."

Just imagining Raimi helming Thinner makes me want to cream my jeans. It would be incredible and ridiculous, instead of just generally awesome like the Tom Holland one is.

I'm looking at $5 books going for $75, $150, $300! And I'm not talking autographed or limited editions. No, I mean a random book by someone named Jones titled THE BROTHERHOOD OF SATAN.

What exactly is going on? Is there a dwindling supply? The nostalgia of a paperback? Some trendsetter manipulating the market for kicks?
