Hi!! Super excited to be volunteering at a teahouse for a couple of weeks in the Fukuoka countryside. I have never been to Japan before, and while I will mostly be spending my time volunteering, I was wondering if anyone has recommendations for things to do in the area, or how to navigate the countryside. I am especially interested in hot springs, nature, shrines, and unique activities. I will specifically be in a village near Yame City. I am browsing this reddit and a few others and I'm sure I'll come across some useful advice here, but I thought I would make a post too just to get more curated tips! Thanks!
