Help with cultivating energy

Hello!! I am just getting into qigong and feeling lost with how much information is out there haha. But I would love if anyone has any foundational practices for building energy. I have chronic fatigue (working on it: eating organ meats, doing nervous system regulation, taking care of myself, etc) and I just did an 8 brocades practice and I could just feel my energy struggling so hard. I have practiced yoga for about 5 years and the same thing happens: whenever we get to the standing poses, it’s like all my energy just drains through my feet and I’m struggling against a huge weight. Does anyone have any tips for creating and maintaining energy? I know qigong will be so transformational for me, I can feel it. I just want to do it properly. Thank you in advance!!
