Wonderful Swimming Dragon Fist instruction

Lots of great instruction on this new channel. Sifu San San is now teaching the Swimming Dragon Fist which I've seen on other YouTube channels, but this is the first I've seen with very detailed instruction.

I'm a member of her community and currently she's giving two 1.5 hours lessons each week that include warm-up exercises and form instruction. You can join her community on her home YouTube page. Right now it is only $4.99 a month. She deserves community support for such excellent sharing of knowledge.

Help with cultivating energy

Hello!! I am just getting into qigong and feeling lost with how much information is out there haha. But I would love if anyone has any foundational practices for building energy. I have chronic fatigue (working on it: eating organ meats, doing nervous system regulation, taking care of myself, etc) and I just did an 8 brocades practice and I could just feel my energy struggling so hard. I have practiced yoga for about 5 years and the same thing happens: whenever we get to the standing poses, it’s like all my energy just drains through my feet and I’m struggling against a huge weight. Does anyone have any tips for creating and maintaining energy? I know qigong will be so transformational for me, I can feel it. I just want to do it properly. Thank you in advance!!

How to adapt practice after lower back injury which means limited standing or sitting

Hello lovely folks,

I'm hoping to get some guidance on how to continue my practice with ongoing lower back pain.

Its been a couple of months now, I'm working with a physio, but have gone from relatively fit and active to unable to sit/ stand for more than 15 mins without pain.

I can walk for a similar amount of time. 20mins at a push.

I started qigong for many reasons, but primarily to help with anixety. It's been a massive support in down regulating me and honestly given me the first moments of peace I've felt in many years.

Without it, and because of the limitations I'm experiencing at the moment, my physical anixety is massively spiking again (ie chest pain, tense, agitated, pins and needles/ vibration all over, racing heart etc) . Ive tried really short practices standing, but they honestly feel too much. I will say tapping has been helping a bit.

Any advice on this? What might work? I find it REALLY difficult to sit still in any kind of breathwork without first doing some movement which is why I found qigong after finding traditional sitting meditation and breathwork unaccessible.

My regular practice used to be about an hour every morning, now I'm lucky if its more than 5-10 and I'm in pain throughout.

How do YOU conduct the energy ball?

Just curious on everyone's technique for manipulating their own energy, and how they personally conduct things like energy balls and such.

What goes on in your mind? What emotions are there? Are there any physiological sensations like goosebumps or heat?

for those who think Qigong needs to be complicated....

Myth: "The practices don't need to be complicated to be effective."

Wait, that's not a myth. That's the actual truth. This is why Wuji works. Why Shoulder Breathing works. Why centering works. Complexity isn't the measure of power. Simplicity is.

Let that sink in.

A single breath, consciously taken, changes your nervous system. A single stance, held with attention, aligns your whole body. The practices don't need to be complicated to be effective. They need to be real. You need to actually do them. Not think about them. Not watch a video and nod. Actually practice. There's something special about a beginning, especially if you've practiced for decades, don't you think?

Is it possible to learn Qigong from videos on the internet?

Hello everyone! I'd like to learn a good Qigong exercise routine for wellness. I was recommended the 18-form Qigong Shibasi routine, saying it's suitable for beginners. There are a lot of videos and courses online on this topic. Can you tell me which of these routines can be safely learned from videos?

And can it even be effective without a live instructor who can correct you and point out any mistakes? What would you recommend?

Where I live, there are no Qigong courses where I can attend and practice under the guidance of an experienced instructor, so the internet is my only option.

Another option is to sign up for an online course via Zoom, but that's also questionable, as I work shifts and don't have a regular schedule.

I would be very grateful for your advices!

P.S. Can you also recommend another Qigong routine for beginners that might help improve gastrointestinal health?
P.P.S Sorry for my poor English; I'm using an online translator.

Gathering Qi

I've heard that sunlight and moonlight can help with increasing qi.

I was wondering, is there an element of astral projection or some method of an out-of-body experience that also aids with that?

I've read that breath-work and grounding are among the most fundamental that ought be mastered.

What are ways to enhance one's own reserve of life-force? Food? Exercise? What else?

Can qigong help with burnout

Hi all 👋

I posted in trueqigong that I’ve been feeling depleted for years due to a combination of reasons..personal, career, etc. It’s gotten to the point where I’m barely dragging myself through life. Did a lot of things..medication, meditation, walks, therapy (probably could continue with this), reiki, hobbies etc. I still do almost daily meditation.

Someone mentioned that it sounds like I may be ungrounded in my lower energy centers (I might be messing up the wording). I think they may be onto something.

Has anyone done qigong to help them with this feeling of being drained and burned out?

I was also curious about people’s experience with qigong healers for blockage removals?

Side note: didn’t keep up with it but I was enjoying Lee Holdens qigong exercises for awhile. But I think I didn’t do it long enough—not enough to crawl out of my burnout so I stopped

Thank you

Any life altering changes

Not sure if it's been discussed before but what changes have you noticed in your health and body from practicing qigong that can't be replicated from exercise or diet?

You can bring up "extraordinary" effects but I would like to avoid anything supernatural (not that I disbelieve in the supernatural claims); I just want the discussion to be grounded.

Classical Music

Does anyone teach a class using classical music as a back drop? If so what composers do you prefer?
