Astini just published some of the info that was used for Tailungs matchfixing investigation

Here's the complete document.

Also, here's what he said on the topic: > My last post about the case and lets enjoy some TI. > > Here is all the info that can be publicly checked and tracked on the Tailung matchfixing case. Maybe can help someone get to the guy that is organizing all of this. > > There was more info on my report. But is removed because has private info of the ongoing investigations of ESIC/EWC. > > To make clear, this info on this file alone does not prove anything. Just together with private info. But this can make you come close to a 99,99% conclusion by yourself. > I was way more involved in this than I wish I ever was... but the information came from a close friend, Brazilian league of legends former pro that tracks polymarket and I had the moral obligation to pass it forward. > > Than I learned KJ wasnt gonna play TI, because he didnt wanna play with matchfixer in his team, and they were struggling to get the 100% confirmation. Which made me more involved, because imagine you see a good friend of yours miss the most important tournament of his life because someone is matchfixing on his team and will do again on TI if not banned... > > I hope this is enough info to stop the defenders which think he is being frammed on a "edited printscreen". > > Its someone doing matchfixing for 2 years and fucking all the teams he passed by. > > There is a shitload of proofs that cannot be shared, and some that are shared here.

Astini on SA matchfixers: "There are about 50 more to fall. I hope at least 5 of them fall together"

After Tailung's ban, Astini made some statements about what he knows regarding SA's matchfixing ecosystem. Since most of it was in Portuguese, I thought it was worth translating and sharing here:

Regarding the use of map-hack: > I reported the usage on the ones I found. Eventually, these people will be banned. But the most important thing is for Valve to develop some anti-hack in Dota. > Now, as I said. Most of those who use it are involved with match-fixing. They will fall one by one. > The mafia is going down. Playtime was just the icing on the cake. > Stop being delusional. SA DOTA 2 needs Peruvian players, but I've already realized that the local culture is that when they start to stand out, they are encouraged to use hacks, share accounts, and match-fix as if they would go unpunished for the rest of their lives. > Then you reach the top and get caught. The bill always comes due. Play clean. If you are a young player starting out in Dota today, don't fall for what others tell you. > Stay clean or the bill comes due. Maybe not in the open qualifiers, but it does when you reach EWC/TI. > For some reason, some clowns are laughing when I talk about something serious. I will be laughing when your idol gets banned.

Why he sees these events as something positive for the future of the SA scene: > Let's look at it from another perspective: > Imagine you are Wits. You are there to play EWC and poof: you find out your midlaner is under investigation and won't play the tournament. > Then you find out that your former midlaner from Amaru was banned. > Two years of your career sunk by someone playing against you from within your own team. > Luckily they found out, and in the next tournament, without a criminal infiltrator holding the team back, he is the champion! > Wits got "lucky". After two years he broke free. > How many others who play clean had their careers ended by those who played dirty? > It is something to CELEBRATE when someone gets banned. A career is over. But a career that destroyed DOZENS to get there through INJUSTICE. > We need several more to be banned to ensure a healthy competitive environment for the rest. > Whoever mourns this ban or criticizes those investigating is on the wrong side. > Today, GOOD PREVAILED!

When asked about what he knew regarding Leostyle: > I never heard anything bad about Léo. > But I heard some heavy things about Pokorn and Wonderkid. > But I am neither the accuser nor the judge in this case. So I watch from afar. But if I were a serious player, I would avoid being around them.

Finally, about ongoing investigations: > There are still about 50 more to fall... I hope at least 5 of them fall together. I'll tell every detail later. If I tell everything now, it might interfere with the progress of the other cases.

TIL Argentina was the catalyst behind the invention of soccer's yellow/red card system. In 1966, their captain refused an expulsion, later blaming language barriers. To prevent this kind of situation in the future, the universal color-coded system was developed so all players understand the calls.

Is Nemesis officially an SA team now?

I know they played EWC's SA qualifiers, but for TI they had been invited to the SEA closed qualifiers. The thing is, they are now playing SA's open qualifiers.

Not sure if this was a choice made by the team or a decision made by Valve (since the team now has only 1 SEA player).

Seems like LGD signed the ex-Heroic's roster

Nothing's confirmed yet, but according to Pancho (a big content creator in the SA scene), it reportedly leaked from the BLAST Slam VII registration that LGD picked up the whole ex-HEROIC roster for the rest of the season (source).

Funny enough, Kaffurtado (ex-Heroic's coach) also tweeted something that pretty much hints they signed a deal.
