I am sick of russian players in eu servers

As the title says, I have often encountered russ players who perform poorly and communicate only in Russian. Throughout my 8,000 games at 10,000 MMR, I have found that Russian-speaking players have often been my most challenging teammates.

Do you guys feel the same as me ?

When do we see the next big DOTA 2 Story Adventure?

Crownfall was a hell of an experience from start to finish. By far the biggest range of content updates we got over the last decade. Their plan was to replace the TI Compendium content with the new crownfall-type events.

It's been quite some time now since Crownfall ended, so when do we see the next story update and what do you think it might be?

They could do something cool by giving us the underwater theme and then telling the story of the feud between Kunkka and Tide Hunter. With some side characters, including Slark, Slardar, Naga, etc. All those who get left out during Crownfall.

Which Dota lore would you guys prefer to see?

Best feeling ever !

Finally hit immortal after 4 months of grinding, from 3800 to 5.650, and it feels so good!

I think I finally understood concepts of the game that I didn’t even realize before, some things just clicked.

I’ve had a consistent 75% win rate this week, last week it dipped to 40%, but after a quick break the winning started happening again.

I’m so happy, such a huge milestone that I dreamed of reaching, it’s surreal!

Dreamleague s29 production

I know it's memeleague but what is going on with the production? Talent all seem to be having nervous breakdown, incredibly obnoxious foley/sound effects... It kind of feels like somebody has decided to quit their job and is just screwing around for their last couple of days. Or do some people find this funny?

Fuck you whoever thought LD hero bear aghs is a good idea.

TRY TO KILL THE BEAR? HERE HAVE SOME 500 MOVE SPEED AND A STORNG DISPEL TO RUN EVEN FASTER FROM GANKS.

FIGHT THE BEAR? HERE HAVE SOME GODLY ATT SPEED, DAMAGE AND PERMA DISABLE THAT CAN KILL 6 SLOTTED CARRY IN 1 SECONDS.

KILL THE BEAR? HERE DONT WORRY YOU HAVE SPARE POCKET BEAR IN YOUR SKILL, FREE EXTRA BEAR IF YOU GOT 1 REFRESHER ORB.

TRY TO RUN FROM BEAR? HERE HAVE SOME PERMA ROOT IN YOUR SKILL ALSO.

TOWERS ? WHY NOT, HERE IS SOME EXTRA BUFF THAT MAKE YOU HIT HARDER FOR OBJECTIVES?

TEAM FIGHT THE ENEMY TEAM? GOOD LETS TAKE OUT THEIR ENTIRE BASE WHILE THEY DO THAT.

FUCK YOU WHO SAID JUST END THE GAME BEFORE THE BEAR IS ONLINE.

HE HAS THE MOST RIDICULOUS FARMING SPEED IN THE GAME, AND WHEN YOU TRY TO SHUT HIM HE JUST CAME BACK.

THIS IS HIGH ANCIENT RANK AND YOU THINK THIS SHIT IS FUN PLAYING AGAINTS THIS STUPID OF A HERO. YOU ARE FUCKING WRONG. ITS FUCKING MISERABLE. YOU CAN WIN AGAINTS THEM WITH TEAM FIGHT, EVEN SUPERIOR TEAM. BUT THE BEAR JUST MAKE HIS OWN GAME. THIS SHIT IS NOT FUN.

AND THE PRO ALSO HATE IT/ ABUSE IT CAUSE THEY KNOW THIS FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT DESIGN HERO IS ABNOXIOUSLY STUPID.

THIS KIND OF GAME IS WORST THAN LOSING A WINNABLE GAME/ OR THROWING THE GAME INTENTIONALLY.

ITS THE WORST FUCKING FEELING WHEN YOU HAVE A HERO PLAYING DIFFERENT GAME, THAN YOUR OWN KNOWING HE WASNT GOING TO WIN IF ITS A DIFFERENT HERO. AND YOU CANT DO ANYTHING AGAINTS THIS STUPID BEAR.

MY COMMS SCORE IS ALWAYS 12K AND NEVER GO BELOW THAT BUT THIS SHIT IS DIFFERENT BREED AND ITS MADE ME TRIGGERED SO BAD I HAVENT FELT THIS KIND OF SHIT EVER.

FUCK OFF WHOEVER MAKE THIS HERO, FUCK YOU LITERALLY.

Tormenter should be reworked or removed

It kinda sucks that there's a key component of pro play that is just completely non-existent in 90% of pubs

Tormenter is some prisoner's dilemma shit, no one wants to go to tormenter unless they're sure their team is willing to go with them. Everyone thinks like that and no one goes

Everyone had the experience of finally gathering 3 heroes at tormenter, then the last 2 players are afk jungling somewhere refusing to come and everyone who went there wasted 1min of walking time

A Dota player has been coming back every ~5 months for years just to comment “hope ur dead”

I was looking through old comments on my profile and realized something weird.

There’s this one Dota player who basically disappears for months at a time, then randomly comes back and leaves some variation of “I hope ur dead” or some toxic message, then vanishes again.

Like not daily harassment. Not even weekly. This man is running a seasonal event schedule.

He’ll be gone for 4–5 months. Silence. Then suddenly:

“hope ur dead”

returns to hibernation

Meanwhile I’m just sitting there wondering if I accidentally became this guy’s side quest.

The thing that gets me is the commitment. Imagine remembering someone every few months only to log in and continue the agenda.

I play Dota, so I’m not shocked by toxicity. We’ve all seen the “nice feed”, “dog player”, “muted xddd”, etc. But the delayed-return villain arc is new to me.

At this point I’m less offended and more concerned.

Bro if you’re out there: are you okay?

I built an altar for my first aegis

Total cost about USD50, I also retrofit a LED strip into the aegis

It's quite empty now, I'm sure it will have more friends in the future.

When you first started playing, what item(s) did you think were super value?

Not items you thought were broken, just ones you thought were a smart choice.

I started in 2013 and saw perseverance as the end to all my regen problems; plus I really liked the colors lmao. Probably ended a few of my first games with one or two in my inventory.

The reason the DOTA pro scene can't be funded like the CS pro scene is because of the Sticker Meta.

Esports in general is kind of a shitshow blackhole for profitability, but I'm sure for those who follow both scenes can tell it's night and day in terms of tier 2 and tier 1.5 teams that are able to compete in CS vs DOTA.

What makes the CS scene so much more invaluable for orgs are stickers. Just getting to the major challenger stage gets you a cut of a buttload of cash, even if you crash out - there's a pathway to financial viability.

Stickers are very very low effort content and generally easy to make for the return, compared to something as high-effort and time consuming as the annual battle pass. Valve noticed this and have tried doing it in DOTA as well, but for those of you who have followed the scene, you'll know that with few exceptions (ie: Ephey) these payouts are usually miniscule in comparison to CS.

So what's with the big discrepancy in interest? History. In CS, a sticker capsule released in 2014 (Katowice) has stickers (Titan and IBP Holo) that sell for 6 figures USD unironically, from what might've been a 25 cent investment. Ever since then, the community mass buys every set of stickers during a new major, a lot of them hoping they'll be the next Titan/IBP Holo (realistically won't happen). This kind of culture doesn't exist in DOTA stickers - most of the whales I know do not give a single shit about stickers.

What DOTA needs is some kind of slop equivalent if it wants the DOTA pro scene to be funded. Something that's low effort to produce but that will be mass bought - clearly team sprays/stickers are not doing it.
