My Silverado EV Story
Got my ‘24 4WT Extended Range brand new in July ‘25. Had a NIGHTMARE of an experience working with the dealership (story for another time) and unfortunately only got about 9 mo. out of the truck.
At 3,800 miles the lithium Ion battery completely failed. 48 days in the shop with no loaner. Had to fight for numerous goodwill refunds…
After repair I had about 6 good months before the battery failed AGAIN.. this time while 300 miles away in rural New Hampshire. It was at this point that I had to pull lemon law on the truck and have it repurchased by GM. Luckily the repurchase team was really easy to work with and I was able to get out relatively unscathed and somehow with my sanity intact.
Keep in mind this is NOT a Silverado EV hate post… I loved the truck but had to read the writing on the wall. Driving a hybrid SUV now and loving it!
