Hi, forgive me but I’m new to hosting email. I’ve never done this before and I don’t know what I’m doing.

I recently (in november ) bough a SYNOLOGY DS225+ nas and a HDD NAS Synology Plus Series 4TB for a small company ( backup for the 4 PC we have )

So far it is great i setup a back-up between each pc D drive and downlaods to a forder on the NAS ( this works for us for now )

What i want to do now? :

as a mail we use yahoo mail and we have a lot of emails ( 50k + emails and with 200+ Gb of storage)

1. Can i use the nas to backup all the emails and delete most of them ( i want to avoid paying for cloud storage to yahoo ) ? -

I want to keep all the emails and the attachments and be able to search for them in the future if i need an email from 3 years ago for example

I tried to set-up the migration task with mailplus ( with gemini help as i never did this before )

I let it run in friday thinking it will copy all my emails, but idk why it stopped at 1k ( in imbox ), now i ra it again and it stopped at 2.43k in imbox and at 1.6k in sent ( on friday i had 0 mails in sent )

I have around 50k emails in imbox and 10k in sent

2. can any1 help me do this propperly?

3. and is there a way to search for a mail fast? ( like in yahoo ) ( and with suggestions like if a type john to show suggestions for example )
