I’m planning to study Chemical Engineering in 2027 and I am currently writing a first draft of my personal statement; I will likely apply to Cambridge, Imperial, Bath, Birmingham, and Loughborough. It might sound silly but the thing that sparked my interest in chemical/process engineering was a game on Roblox called industrialist which is essentially a simplified sandbox energy plant simulator. Would it be insensible to write a sentence near the beginning of my personal statement mentioning this and how it led me to look further into the discipline?
