2u2 newborn sleep help😵‍💫

What are you all doing to get your newborns to sleep in the bassinet?! Mine is 4 days old and refuses to sleep in there. He’ll sleep on or next to us for hours, but the second we put him in the bassinet, he’s awake within 5–10 minutes.
We’ve been taking shifts at night staying awake while he sleeps on us, while the other person sleeps solo. We are EXHAUSTED. 😭 Especially with a 20 month old too!
I remember my toddler doing this as a newborn, but I genuinely can’t remember how or when she finally transitioned to sleeping in the bassinet on her own.
Any tips/tricks that actually worked for you? I’ll take anything at this point! 😂 Just desperately hoping to get a little more sleep!
Thank you in advance for your responses!!!

Looking for experiences with elective C-section for suspected macrosomia/GDM

Hi everyone!

This is my second pregnancy and I am currently 36 weeks pregnant with gestational diabetes (on nighttime insulin). My growth ultrasounds have shown my baby measuring quite large, and I’m seriously considering an elective C-section. I had my first vaginally and while she was big too (8 lbs 4oz, she definitely wasn’t as big as this baby is measuring). For reference, at 36 weeks this baby is already measuring 7 lb 9 oz with head circumference at 93rd percentile and abdominal circumference at 97th percentile. I’m trying to hear real experiences from others who have been in a similar situation.

If you chose an elective C-section because your baby was measuring large, I’d love to know:
-What percentile or estimated weight was your baby measuring?
-What was your baby’s head circumference (HC) percentile?
-What was your baby’s abdominal circumference (AC) percentile?
-Were they measuring ahead overall (and by how many weeks)?
-How much did your baby weigh at birth?
-Looking back, are you happy with your decision?

I’d also really appreciate hearing from anyone who attempted a vaginal delivery with a large baby:
-Did you experience shoulder dystocia?
-Were there any injuries to you or your baby?
-If shoulder dystocia happened, do you wish you had elected for a C-section instead?

I know ultrasounds aren’t perfectly accurate, and I know plenty of big babies are born vaginally without complications. I’m just trying to gather different experiences as I decide what’s best for my baby and me. Thanks so much for sharing!

UPPAbaby Vista

Hi there!

Wondering if anybody here has the UPPAbaby Vista and has actually liked it with their 2 kids?

So far, I have loved it with my toddler as a single stroller. However I am due in a few months (they will be 20 months apart) and I keep seeing reviews that pretty much everyone hates this stroller when using it for 2 kids. I think it’s also ridiculous to have to spend almost $500 to get the rumble seat and adapters to convert it to a double stroller. I feel like I should just use that $500 for a new stroller? My toddler has always been super tall too, (99th percentile) so I don’t think the rumble seat will be a good option for her either. Please let me know if you have tried this stroller and what other strollers you recommend/have loved!! Thanks so much!

I’m about to have 2 under 2 (first is a girl, now expecting a boy) and I’m debating making a small registry. Did you make one for your second baby? If so, what did you actually put on it?

Also, what are the things you ended up panic buying once baby arrived or wish you had added in hindsight? Thank you for your responses in advance!!
