Those first days eating

Am I entirely normal that I'm 72 hours in and still only JUST managing liquids?

I have had every single tooth removed all at once and immediates placed (under general anaesthetic). First 12+ hours I couldn't even swallow 1ml of water. I've now graduated to 5ml from a syringe or sports water bottle (and can do 5ml repeatedly back to back most of the time), and am having protein shakes/milk this way for some calories.

I kind of thought from research that by now, I'd be able to do jelly or getting close to some sloppy mashed potato. I'm struggling to use my tongue to move any food/liquid to the back of my mouth.

Fear of removing dentures for first time

My extractions were 48 hours ago (32 teeth under general anaesthetic). That afternoon was rough, much rougher than I imagined, but been okay-ish since then.

Surgeon/dentist wanted me to keep dentures in for at least 24 hours, preferably 48. So now, it's time for them to come out - so I can do a mouthwash because I'm terrified of getting infected extraction sites.

I just don't know how to get past the fear of taking them out. I'm worried it's going to hurt, pull at sutures/clots and worried that I won't get them back in easily. They're like my security blanket over my gums and I'll be really freaked if I can't get them back in. It's midday on a Sunday here which doesn't help - not many places I could get to help me ASAP if I can't get them out/back in.

Any tips and tricks? How your experience was to make me feel better?

Cycle prediction using skin temperature

I recently upgraded to the 8 from the 4, mostly for the skin temperature-period/ovulation prediction function. I've only had it a few days and it shows that I need four hours of sleep data to work. I've slept 6-8 hours (which the watch has tracked fine) and still says this. Google then tells me that sleep has to be between a certain time? Can anyone confirm this or how to set it differently?

I live a night shift life, have my sleep goals set to sleeping during daylight hours, and sleep in a similar timeframe every single day, but it's whilst the sun is up. Why does Samsung do stuff like this? It bothers me that it's an unchangable midnight reset for exercise/step tracking too but that's a whole other post really.
