We've lived in SD for a long time but now we have a toddler, so priorities and activities have certainly changed. We know the beaches get crowded as well as Balboa Park, the zoo, aquarium, etc. But does anyone have recommendations about not-so-crowded places to have fun with our little guy? I'd lean toward things not related to Memorial Day per se, since those are easy to find.

Edit to add: We're in central San Diego but happy to drive further out
