Question Help
C is apparently the correct answer, but isn't an income fund more "conservative" than a balance fund? I assumed the income fund contained more bonds/fixed income than a balanced fund that is 50% stock and 50% bonds. So why isn't D the right answer? Maybe I'm misunderstanding the part about "the standpoint of diversification"?
From the standpoint of diversification, which of the following would be considered the most conservative?
A) A growth fund
B) A sector fund
* C) A balanced fund
D) An income fund
Explanation:
Balanced funds invest in a variety of investment vehicles; therefore, they have more diversification. Because of the diversification, they are better protected against downturns in the financial markets and are more conservative than the other choices listed.
