Help with Waterford crystal clock face

Is this clock something I can fix myself? I put in a new battery and it’s not ticking, I tried cleaning the battery area with isopropyl alcohol and it still isn’t working. Any hope here?

Brewster and Ingraham Sharp Gothic (steeple) restoration

Hello, Wanted to share my recent restoration job on a harder to find clock from the 1840s-50s. I was very fortunate to find this one in very nice original condition from the family it had been in since new. It will run for roughly 30 hours, and has the original brass springs in excellent shape. They are very supple and soft compared to steel ones. Since there wasn't much force, it only needed two bushings on the second wheel, and none of the holes were abused.

Need guidance on what's missing

Hey guys! I'm just starting to get into cuckoo clocks. I bought one off market place for cheap, and I'm looking to try and restore it as a cool project.

I have very limited clue as to how to start to fix the clock part (is that called a moment? Idk, sorry guys!) as there are a few parts missing.

I know i need the chain and weights to go on the back cog thing, but dont know how to calculate the weight needed or chain length. Eek!

I've seen 250 g is standard, should I just experiment and add and take away weight?

And I need a pendulum, but dont know whether that needs a specific weight.

Also, im not sure if anything else is missing, if theres anyone out there who could help, lmk!

I've included images pre and post disassembly.

Also, I cant find the timing, whether its 1 day or 8 day. I'd assume 1, cause it is quite small, but all it says on the back is western Germany and no 0 jewels unadjusted.

Requesting Assistance

I recently acquired a 1978 Ridgeway grandfather clock with a Urgos series 32 movement. It was a gift from my grandfather to my grandmother and something that will always remind me of them. I want to get it working properly, and I feel like I’m making good progress. The clock itself works but, it doesn’t chime like it’s supposed to. The weights are in the correct order and the lever is set to “chime”. While I was putting the new suspension spring on, I loosened something and I saw a wheel spin freely for a few seconds. I don’t remember which one it was but I’m fairly certain this could be my problem. Any advice that keeps me from packing it back up and hauling till it to the repair shop would be greatly appreciated. Also, anyone that has a diagram on the Urgos 32 movement that they could share would be nice. I like to know how things work and it’s hard to get a good view of the movement with the clock face Attatched and moving from one side to the other. Thanks

Looking for help identifying this antique clock

I recently came across this mechanical Westminster chime bracket/mantel clock. It has an engraved brass dial, “Westminster Chime on Eight Bells” markings.

Could anyone help with the details (approximate age, country of origin), authentication and possible value? I’d also appreciate advice.

Ridgeway grandfather clock | Need help with model number

Can anyone help me identify right the model number of this clock?

I grew up with it in my house and my parents had it in storage for years after they sold our childhood home. After a lot of begging, they finally got it out of storage and gave it to me. I grew up with this clock and the chime is a sound I have always wanted my kids to grow up with.

Unfortunately through moving and storage, the chime no longer works and the actual clock will tick for about a day and then stop. Admittedly I have very, VERY limited knowledge when it comes to how these clocks work, which is why I’m trying to figure onto the model to be able to dig deeper in my research and find someone to come out and hopefully fix it.

Help identifying age of clock

Does anyone know how old this clock is? I just bought it from an antique store, and I’m curious about it. I tried looking up similar clocks online, but I’m not finding much that’s similar to the model I have.

Clock is wound but will not tick

I bought this clock for $20 at an auction. After the auction the guy who gave me the clock was like, "are you a clock person?" and I said "yes" because I thought he meant "do you like clocks?" but I realized right after that he was asking if I understand mechanical clocks, to which the answer is no.

Anyway I have this clock, and I wound it but the pendulum will not swing. When I manually swing it it makes tick-tock noises and the hands move. But it will not swing on its own. Please advise!

Edit: it’s so obnoxious to downvote someone new to your hobby just because they don’t know what they’re doing. If clock people are like this I’ll stick to typewriters 😤 at least we’re nice to novices!

Can anyone help identify this clock, found it in the attic this morning

Found this in the attic and I love how it looks, it's an electrical clock just the plug missing but I would love to learn more about it so any information on the clock would be amazing. All I've been able to get from it is that it was made in England by a company called Smith's sectric but I can't find this clock specifically anywhere on the internet any help would be greatly appreciated

Victorian Perpetual Calendar Mantle Clock

My great uncle had written that I was to be left this clock before he passed, and I’d love to know some more information about it. It’s a beauty. If anyone knows the value it’d be helpful too, I understand it’s hard to value stuff like this, and the sentimental factor will definitely outweigh that anyway, but it’ll be cool to know :)

My great grandfather’s clock

I have inherited this clock and the family said that it was purchased around 1880 in Many, Louisiana USA.

I need help identifying it. Apparently the depth is unusual. There are no markings whatsoever. Can anybody help?

Measurements:
Clock case: 18” high × 10” wide × approximately 2½” deep (maybe just a hair over 2½”)
Dial: 4½” diameter
Bezel: 5” diameter
The pendulum is quite fancy

Fully restored clock from my childhood.

This is an old cuckoo clock from Germany that my grandfather more than likely brought back with him after serving in WW2

I remember it in their house as a child and I was absolutely in love with it, after they died my parents took it and sorta just tossed it into their basement and it ended up buried under stuff and broken with missing pieces.

I convinced my dad to let me have it, since they were planning on tossing it out. I dropped it off at a specialty clock shop about a year and a half ago and I got it back today!

Its so beautiful and it even does the little cuckoo just like I remember.

Repair 1972 clock

I bought this vintage clock for $55 and was told it worked. I placed a new C battery and it lasted less than 24 hours. Repair? Move on?

I like the piece because it matches my kitchen and my family loves owls. My husband is handy and could follow instructions to repair if it’s inexpensive and the repair isn’t extensive.

Possible bells from a large clock?

Just moved on to the old family farm and am slowly making my way through boxes and outbuildings. It was a working farm from the '20s - 2015, cattle and crops mainly.

These were in an unmarked box in the garage at the house. They're heavy and fit inside each other - diameters roughly 8, 9, and 10 inches. Each has the same hole in the bottom, seemingly to be attached to something.

Folks over in the /tools group thought they might be from a very large Morbier-style clock. Former residents worked in a public school and for the army
