I need to tell you about Oscar and answer a few questions, there was some concern.

I just want to start by saying I haven't been posting as much as I have in the past because I just there's been a lot going on and I've been working on a lot of things here for our local wildlife and for the geese and it's been all consuming. Also it seems like I posted a few times and I got messages from Reddit with people concerned that I might hurt myself. I kind of chuckled at that because I may get really emotional or passionate about something but I would not ever suggest that I might harm myself. I've said in the past that the geese saved my life because I was in a really dark space many years ago and they were a very healthy distraction for me. And then I also got a warning about violence probably because someone hurt an animal and I probably commented something about wanting to hurt them but I would not boast about hurting anybody if I had to get involved with something where there was any type of violence or harm it would be for sure defending what can't defend itself plus I'm not a violent person most of the time LOL. So I've had a really bad last year and I just wanted to tell you guys that losing Eunice painful enough but I lost my Oscar. Talk about soul crushing. Hard enough to learn to carry on without Eunice, my shadow , but Oscar was my best boy, he was my best friend and I knew he was getting old and he'd been through so much the last couple years. I wanted to share something with you. Over the last couple years I had always talked to Oscar and I always would tell him I wonder if you know how much you mean to me I wish there was a way I could understand that you understand. Do you know how important you are? How much you made a difference? I know it sounds silly but something happened about a week ago and it just hit me that that was my sign. I've only ever seen him be a badass when he's protecting his his family when lady was around you couldn't get near her or they're young and then more recently with Eunice he was very protective of her in the end and I will alwaYs chuckle at that. Well we were sitting and he'd recently come back from being gone while. We went off, just me and Oscar and I was just looking at the creek , i was talking to him and a bunch of geese started walking over. Poor Oscar ,he got up as hard as it is for him, and limped himself around and face these like six geese. And he put his head down and hissed and started wagging his tail and he fluffed up and put his wings out and charge them and wouldn't let anybody near me. I have to say that that is the best compliment I could have ever had. Is it my head that tells me that yes he does know how much he means to me and he just showed me how much I meant to him. As heartbroken as I am right now ,I don't regret one minute !! I'll never forget the day I met him , I'll never forget all the fun times we had. When I feel a little bit better, I'm going to continue on with my little thing that I was planning on doing with a little children's book. I just wanted to share all that with you. Thank you for being there for me and being so supportive. I'm just trying to stay focused on trying to deal with government and Foster City and I've been buried with that so wish me luck. I've also dealing with a lot of geese and injuries and a surge in blindness and my latest little projects I love, I have two blind geese and I have one with broken beak. Charlie, Walter and Luna theyve been helping me get through. I wish I could find a sanctuary that would take them. If I didn't intervene they surely would perish . All injuries stem from Foster city. Thanks again everybody and I wish I could come out here with some good news for once.

I'm s***** at videos but watch it till the end it's pretty cool red shoulder hot my faves :-)

I didn't mean to but I interrupted a dinner date these two red-shoulder Hawks have been calling each other for weeks and weeks. The comical part of it is they were about 100 yards from each other but they just couldn't find each other it took them that long LOL. So I interrupted a dinner date cuz they had this catch and as it came around the corner of one of them flew off but he sat there patiently waiting for his buddy to come back where's me I don't know. I affectionately called them my whiners cuz that's all they do is wine for each other constantly but I enjoy them so much they've got to be one of my favorite raptors. Sorry for the s***** video. I was more concerned about disturbing him then the video as you can obviously see but the end I thought was kind of cool you can see how beautiful they are. All right take your best shot make fun of me I'm ready I deserve it LOL!

Look at this injury on gosling.

Hey guys long time no see. This is one of my goslings she was actually abandoned so she's been on her own for a little bit now but I've been looking after her she's been okay until I got here today. I noticed this mass hanging down it almost reminds me of a hematoma I've got an okay look at it but I can't get that close and wondered if anyone had any thoughts? I would love to hear from it's a parent's life for me or somebody in the wildlife rehabbing area I'm on my own here as you all well know and I'm going to call a friend of mine hopefully I'll get through to her and see what she recommends I she seems fine and all other respects I just I'm a worry wart. Well miss you guys I hope you're all well I've been kind of focused on some stuff here and I haven't been on much so love to hear your input. Mucho respect to all of you.

Eunice

With the heaviest of hearts I am sorry to say that we lost Eunice tonight and I'm absolutely just heartbroken I don't have words. Anyway if she gave me 4 years of having a sidekick and it was wonderful to watch her develop into a wonderful happy little goose. But admittedly the last couple months have been rough for her and companionship and motherhood weren't for her she's so beaten down and used to being picked on it just wasn't her call. With the intent of rebuilding her back to her she was and making her healthy again I came to find her tonight in her spot and she had been hit by something. It looks like to be something pretty big cuz I just know. That's not how I visioned her end to be. But loving wildlife and letting them be a part of our lives and touching our hearts there's a downside to it where the heartbreak is just unbelievable this is last year has changed me in a way I can't even describe and this is icing on the cake. My beautiful girl. All right stop. Thank you for all your support with her over the years and thank you for always showing interest in caring and all your advice has been so helpful. I know it comes with the territory but this is a tough one. Thank you again for all your support.

Any thoughts on his behavior?

We have three seagulls that are displaying these symptoms. It's very sad they want to eat and drink and be normal but they are just totally vertigo written I mean they can't stand as you can see in the video. They look pretty good otherwise but just wanted your thoughts. I've never seen this before in seagulls here at the creek. Please watch till end. Thank you.

Lately I've had an inflex of geese coming in with impaired vision not completely blind but very you know very impaired. I think they can see like shapes and stuff but they can't see well at all and wanted to know if anyone had experience with this? These are Canada geese. I recently posted about the geese eradication they're doing in Foster City and I know they're using chemicals I need to find out exactly what they're using so I was thinking maybe if they got too close to the chemical would it cause in blindness? Methyl Anthranilate? Is anybody familiar with this chemical?
