Is anyone playing around with mixed AI + real content?

I commented on another post about how I think that's an interesting style to explore.

I've only ever seen it on one big channel (an ambience channel). They stopped doing it because their viewers preferred 100% real video and audio.

I avoid watching AI content on youtube, but I'd be more receptive to a mixed approach that doesn't come across as deceptive.

AI generated visuals and sounds have a funny character about them that could play into the real content -- I think viewers just get irked when the AI content is presented as though it's real. Or when it's too front and center, in your face.

Title. I'm making all the videos regardless.

I have a variety of ambience styles planned (all real footage non-looping), but I'm having trouble deciding whether to lump it all in one channel or split into niches (close-up clutter ambience, nostalgic bedroom on VHS, outdoors: nature and liminal).

^ many are categorically different, I'll be following holidays/seasons and organizing into playlists.

Preference is to keep most of it on main channel.

I can see pros and cons to either approach. I know it can hurt me if viewers skip some of my uploads because they only like a narrow genre. I like the variety, but I may not be the norm.

The big ambience channels tend to stay in a narrow lane (ex Nomadic Ambience, Miracle Forest, Calmed by Nature).

More details (all 2-3 hours long):

• Close-up clutter ambience (misc and seasonal)
• Nostalgic gamer bedroom (VHS footage)
• Sci-fi (spaceship bedroom etc)
• Outdoors (holiday scenes, misc scenes, liminal spaces, nature, walking camera)
• Events (alien invasion, zombies, etc.)
• Aquariums
• Video games (static shot scenes and role-played walking/fighting no HUD immersion -- I assume these belong on a second channel)
• Musical album with non-looping background (I assume this belongs on a third channel)
