Sexuality and spirituality
This is just a conversation starter I wanted to know others thoughts!
I see a lot on content online about the fact that sex is a “sacred act” of sharing energy which I do believe 100%.
At some degree, I feel this demonizes sex and celebrates celibacy. While I do agree celibacy can be great and beneficial the concept of “saving it for someone special” ties a lot into religious and cultural programming.
As a woman I’m conflicted, i am putting a lot of energy in my consciousness through self care and energy work but this ideology creates a sense of shame. On the other hand exploring sexually can be very healing and necessary for understanding oneself and desires.
I could be working to deconstruct my own religious programming and want to know what others think about this topic!!
