One Year Later: My KTM 300 Supermoto Still Feels Illegal

I always see these bikes get a ton of hate online for being “terrible road bikes.” Too much vibration, too loud, too aggressive, no highway manners, etc.

Honestly… I think people are missing the point.

If you grew up riding 65s, 85s, 125s this bike instantly takes you right back to those days. Every ride feels like being a teenager again riding somewhere you probably weren’t supposed to be.

The supermoto setup completely changes the bike too. The 17s make it feel way more planted and stable on the road than people expect. It honestly handles city streets better than any bike I’ve ever owned.

Every time I pull this thing out of the garage it genuinely feels illegal. Riding around the city feels less like a commute and more like casually ripping a paved trail on an MX bike.

For gearing, it’s set up to comfortably cruise 100 - 130 km/h switching between 4th and 5th. At around 60 mph in 5th gear it’s barely even touching the throttle. Ive done plenty of stretches on the highway with no issues.

Only real downside for longer rides is premix. Mine isn’t oil injected, so I carry a little baby bottle with 5oz of oil in my bag which is enough for roughly another 3/4 tank on the go.

Is it practical? Absolutely not.

I’ve owned faster bikes, smoother bikes, and better highway bikes… and nothing has made me smile as much as this thing!

IF YOU CAN GET YOUR HANDS ON A STREET LEGAL 2 STROKE DO IT!!!

What’s the best way to fix this ?

Looking for advice on what my options are to repair this scrape on the bottom of a fibreglass boat. It’s right through to the fibreglass for about 9 inches although it’s narrow. My original plan was to use the 3m marine filler and then apply either a marine paint or epoxy over top.

What are the different options and what are the pros on cons of each

Any advice is greatly appreciated.
