I don’t have a Christian background and would love to learn more about the origins of Christianity, obviously not from biblical sources. What do we actually know about Jesus Christ and what happened to him? What factual evidence is there for the origins of Christianity?
Finally got mom assessed with a result of MCI and an MRI showing severe microvascular disease. The doctor shrugged it off and told her to drink less (she has been, mostly). She’s clearly not “all there” but can mask it pretty well.
She’s got a roommate who keeps an eye on her and the house (not a caregiver, though). Financial/estate stuff is in place. I’m watching her credit card transactions and managing the budget.
She had agreed to downsize and move to independent living next year (this is huge!) so she’ll have an easier time with meals and less to manage. We’re generally a good team and I basically treat her like a teenager with tenuous independence. I don’t know the future, and can’t predict how/if she will get progressively worse.
For those of you with parents with dementia, what do you wish you had done at this stage?
