CRA Role Scam

Hi everyone- just wanted to give a heads up on something that happened with me.

On Friday I got an email from a recruiter from a sponsor for a Senior CRA position to which I responded that I was interested.

The recruiter asked for my resume and quickly came back to me and said I should connect with a resume consultant (red flag). I said I would be happy to and they sent me the email address for the consultant. The email address ended with @gmail which immediately made me realize exactly what’s going on.

I checked the recruiter email and lo and behold it was not a real recruiter, this email also ended with @gmail, and was posing as a specific person from this company.

After acting as if I was going through with the resume writer, they were going to charge over $500 to “help me” rewrite my resume.

Luckily I didn’t lose any money, but I did read about some people who did so please be cautious and confirm all the details before doing anything!

iPad for CRAs

After being a CRA for a few years I caved and bought an iPad for no reason at all.

What do you guys recommend downloading or using on it to help with work?

Per Diem Uses

Hi, to all my fellow CRAs and Travelers

Do you ever use your per diem to buy groceries or snacks?

I have a lot left over and am thinking to buy a bunch of snacks from Walmart or target.

Just wanted to see what you guys do with extra per diems.

Mothers first colonoscopy

I took my mom to a GI clinic for a consult ahead of a colonoscopy expecting to meet the doctor but was in fact seen by an NP at the clinic. (First time at this clinic)

Fast forward to the day of the procedure, expecting to meet the doctor, we’re told that she’ll meet my mom in the procedure room.

I asked the nurse if the doctor could come out so I could talk with her since we’ve never met and at first the nurse just ignored us and then went I asked her again she says “the doctor doesn’t normally leave the procedure room, if there’s anything that she needs to talk about she’ll come out afterwards”

My question is, is this normal for colonoscopies? I get that doctors are busy but it would be nice to have some face to face time with someone doing the procedure on my mom.

Private Property Towing

Hi,

I am in the process of getting a new towing company to serve our private property that has an apartment next to it.

What kind of perks can I get from companies that I talk to?

Some have offered free personal towing.

One mentioned monetary perks, what is a reasonable amount?

Thank you!
