Updated firmware, RTK dead

Maybe a coincidence, but my One just completed a flawless mow of my 3-acre yard yesterday. When it was done, I updated the firmware like an idiot. Then today, I go to mow and it's crashing into bushes and all kind of crazy stuff. Turns out, there is zero signal from the RTK unit. It doesn't even appear it's powered on.

I powered everything off including unplugging the RTK unit and mower battery for an hour, no change. I tried plugging the rtk into the power port on the dock, still nothing. Tried binding it again, although I can't find an option to unbind it and then bind it, just the bind button. Still no change.

Sigh...

3d print charging contact covers broke

Had the charging contact covers professionally 3D printed since I don't have a 3D printer. They've been working great for about a week. And today walking around my yard I found a broken cover, looked under the mower, and found a bunch of broken pieces and the other cover missing.

Did I do something wrong? I think I selected 40% infill, maybe that's too low? Anyone else had these break after a short time? I'm going to have to get these completely remade and I don't want to have the same problem

One Plus first impressions, coming from original One

I bought a One Plus with the 40% off promo upgrade offer, thinking it would solve my charging contact fouling problem and gain a bunch of neat perks in the process. I was going to give my L1 to my mother in law who has a large yard and is skeptical about robot mowers but wanted to try one out without taking a $3k gamble.

TLDR: Not impressed with the Plus, will likely be returning it. Sorry, MIL.

After just half a mow on my backyard, some observations, maybe someone can say whether these are user error or not:

  1. Main issue....RTK is not good. Not sure what changed here, or maybe mine is broken. My old One was 0.01 almost all the time. This thing is rarely 0.01. I see 0.02, 0.08, many times it was 1.6-1.8m for several minutes. This caused the robot to run into no-go zones and my neighbor's fence because it didn't know where it was. One time it backed into the fence and the tracks climbed upward, causing the unit to faceplant vertically and giving me a "extreme angle" error. New RTK is mounted in the same spot as old....just unscrewed old and screwed in new. Sunny 70F day with no clouds right now, so its as ideal as it gets.
  2. Cut quality is super disappointing. Worse than my One, I think. And this was one area I was really optimistic about, with all the talk of new floating deck and new blades and side discharge. I have fescue, and it left so many straggling tall blades that it was hard to tell if an area had been mowed or not. Definitely not "lift and cut" as advertised. Maybe I need to play with settings, but I clearly cant use the same settings as the One.
  3. Side discharge gets clogged super fast, usually after a stripe or two, even though I took the little flap off.
  4. Had some issues restoring maps from my old mower. Turns out the Plus didnt want to connect to my wifi even though I did that in setup, the wifi icon was grey but the settings menu said it was connected. I had to have it forget the wifi, reconnect, restart everything, then the map transfer worked.
  5. Tracks came super tight, had to loosen them before even starting the mower
  6. 4G icon is not lit, even though Settings says its connected. But, I believe this took 24hrs to activate with my One so maybe thats all it is.

Really like my One despite all its faults, but I feel like the Plus is a downgrade in basic functionality in exchange for bells and whistles. I'll probably return this thing, save the $2k and try the 3D printed contact covers for the One and call it a day. Until it breaks, then we'll see where Lymow is at that point.

L1 map backup restore to One Plus is not working

I had a One, just received my new One Plus. Backed up the map from my old mower, went to the new mower and hit restore from different device, the map appeared there but when I hit restore it just hangs with a spinny circle in the middle. Please don't tell me I need to remap my entire lawn....

Pico to turn one set of lights off, but just one light on?

I inherited a bunch of Caseta dimmers DVRF-6L and am kinda new to the app/etc.

My basement has several lights plus a small bathroom light, which my kids tend to leave on all the time. Typically I have to go down there and walk around to turn everything off.

I want to put all of these on smart dimmers, then I want one Pico paddle at the top of the stairs. But, I want the down "off" button to turn off everything in the basement, and the "on" button only turns on one light on the stairs. Is this possible to do in the app?

Not asking for advice on ways to get the kids to turn the lights off...thats a whole other conversation....

WHAT is my mower doing???

Please ignore the horrible grass, we had some septic work done last season where they dug up a portion of our yard, and haven't quite patched it over yet.

My One is usually awesome. Our front yard is flat and open with very few obstacles. Today it just completely forgot how to mow. It's flailing around in the middle of the yard doing stuff like this. Do I have a sensor issue or something? Obstacle detection is set to touch only.

Requesting better charge management logic

I've seen lots of posts on here supporting the 15 to 75%, saying it's the most efficient use of the battery. I disagree and would like to see more options in this area.

One argument is that letting a lithium ion battery go to 100% damages the cells, so it should continue mowing once it gets to 75. But, the system is perfectly happy to let it get to 100% overnight and let it sit there for 8 to 12 hours before resuming in the morning. So this can't be the case.

Another argument is that it charges slower from 75 to 100%. I've measured it, it really isn't that different. So it can't be that.

Besides all the lost time going to and from the charger with this narrow charging band, the logic ignores efficiencies of charging to 100% based on the set recharge and resume times. Let's say I have it set to mow from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.. if it's sitting on the charger at 5:00 p.m. and gets to 75%, it will go out and mow and come back and that will be the last cycle of the day. Where if it waited to get to 95 or 100, it would go out around 5:30 or 5:45, and that last cycle of the day would cover much more ground.

This is a pretty easy software area for improvement that would make a huge difference in the ground this thing could cover everyday

Took the robot out for spring, was working great for about a month. Then yesterday it started charging really slowly even though I'm using the 10 amp power supply. It's supposed to get a full charge (or at least 15 to 75%) in an hour and a half, several times in the past week I've seen it only go from 15% to 45% in that time. In addition, at night I can see it charge to 99%, then when it wakes up and resumes mowing in the morning it's suddenly at 80 or 85%, like it disconnected overnight and started slowly draining itself before the morning.

Right now I'm sitting here at 2 hours and 15 minutes to gain 40% charge.

I cleaned the contacts, unplugged the power supply for a few minutes and plugged it back in, unplugged the mower from the battery for a few minutes and plugged it back in. Has not helped. Anyone else experienced this?
