any ideas where to meet other LGBTQA+?
so i (27 soon to be 28F) listed in texas my entire life. grew up in and around the austin area.
now idm going into austin just its not always doable gas wise and money going downtown.
i’ve dated other women but through ACC mainly. since i am not in college any more this is not doable.
these dating apps have been horrible over the last few months.i’ve tried hinge,HER,bumble etc. either no matches/or matches where people don’t respond. if i do get asked out it’s to be someone’s “unicorn/third”. i am not into that, don’t mind if others are it’s just not for me personally.
i want to maybe try other events or places where i can naturally meet someone. it’s been hard since im not into drinking(i will go to a bar/club every now and again but not every weekend) i don’t mind working out/running but prefer to do it alone to clear my head, same with hiking.
i’ve meet others at cons but they live hours/states away so meet ups aren’t often (and they are mainly men) don’t care/mind smoking around me/in setting. just not a “huge”pot head like others i’ve meet(that’s all they talk about)
growing up in the RRISD school district for my later schooling years. i do know round rock isn’t the “most”friendly compared to say austin. it’s been a struggle trying to date late alone make friend’s.
all of my friends i’ve been close with are from various jobs and when I leave a job, I’ve only kept in touch with one/maybe two of them. Either just due to a natural falling out or our schedules never can seem to align to meet up.
It is slightly more open than compared to say next-door or even Facebook. Wondering if anybody else may have some ideas?
edit:please downvote if you wish. i don’t mind. we may not see eye-to eye. and or you may not believe/not like the community and that’s okay. i won’t be “mad/angry”
others please give ideas! i’m rarely in downtown austin, but wouldn’t mind them being suggested :)
religious suggestions are okay,i won’t use them but i know others will.
