Explanation for those who don't know wtf this is:
>!A cryptic crossword clue has 2 parts - a definition like you'd see in a normal crossword, and wordplay that also describes the answer. The job of the solver is to identify where these things are in the clue and then correctly parse them. Here, the definition is "child", and the wordplay is "Trans rights are human rights rebutted" (note that the punctuation is ignored). Here the parsing for the wordplay is "take the rightmost letters (rights) of the words TRANS RIGHTS ARE HUMAN -> SSEN, and then that is reversed (rebutted) -> NESS. I will say that the wordplay is usually a bit more precise, but the surface (the apparent meaning of the clue) was too good to mess with!<
