Is there a better brand for facial wax strips?

I’m nc44 for reference but I don’t like corals for the most part. I haven’t found the right berry/plum shade that I like although it’s what’s usually recommended.

There are no black salons very close. But there’s a Great Clips 5 minutes away.

My hair is getting pretty long (bsl) and I like updos. But my hair is so thick it’s hard to manage the front. Some bangs might help. I’ve seen major fail videos but is it that hard to cut your own bangs?
