Dealing with Disillusionment

Disclaimer: This is not snark. Do not direct hate towards anyone. Be civil in the comments.

I'd like to start off by saying it's okay if you like KATSEYE less. I, personally, do not like the entity that is KATSEYE much anymore, but I do like the individual members. However, it's come to the point that Manon's leaving is evident and many are wishing the group to fail. It's very unkind. Please stop.

I think a lot of fans who are clinging onto the idea of Manon remaining in the group or hurting their sales need to let go. The post attached really encapsulates how the general public feels about the whole situation — they don't care. All press is good press as they say. The other girls have big followings as well and the documentary has led to the average person deeming her lazy or uninterested. You can be frustrated that people don't care, but then you're frustrated at society, not KATSEYE.

I was already iffy about KPOP groups, avoiding them because I didn't really like the culture around them. I thought KATSEYE would be different, but they're so corporate that it's hard to ignore at this point. I value artistry and authenticity over everything else. The group was fun, but it never fulfilled those things for me. Also, kpop fandoms are toxic. I always tried to see the best in the girls, but many didn't. I wish all the girls the best. It's okay to be upset, but not mean.

P.S. For the black girls out there who really wanted to see a black girl in space like this, I'm sorry. Many will not understand how it feels. It's okay to be sad about it, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
