Elder - The Gold and Silver Sessions. Just joined this sub to post this album

Highly influenced by the heavyweights of the genre but harmonically and texturally unique as well - currently in heavy rotation on my deck

Anyone heard or have the Keith Whitley and Ricky Skaggs Tribute to the Stanley Brothers?

Unsealed this beaut this morning for Father’s Day. If you’re in Charlottesville, stop by Hello Goodbye records on the back side of Main Street, downtown. They’ve got a curated bluegrass section, knowledgeable shop owner, and records priced to go. Walked out with quite a few gems along with this one!

Other than the fact that Norman Blake and Dale Whitcomb tear it up, the band smokes, and there are some interesting strings on the B side, I cant find much background information about this album.
